We all heard the news on Sunday with the outbreak of Swine Flu, and the obvious of course is not to travel to affected areas in Mexico. Dr. Oz in his video on ABC News offers some realistic and sound advice, and stating we don’t know all the facts yet. Washing hands as usual and contacting your doctor are the normal and usual procedures if you think you could be infected.
Carry hand sanitizer with you, which I do all the time in my purse, but now perhaps a little more important. You can buy small bottles at most drug stores. You can still eat pork as that has nothing to do with the virus transmission. The flu can be treated with Tamiflu and Relenza.

As more information develops we will know more and I’ll post here. The question here is that yes it has been declared an emergency, but how to react and what to do are the big questions. BD
Health officials learned over the weekend that more than 1,600 people in Mexico are possibly infected with the swine flu virus. With the first confirmed case in Spain, the disease has hit European shores. And the tally of confirmed swine flu cases in the United States has now hit 40, according to a statement by the World Health Organization on Monday. Health officials have warned that this number is likely to rise.
